Covenants & Restrictions
The owners recently adopted and recorded new covenants and provided the
Association with specific enforcement procedures and some new tools,
designed to be less contentious, yet more effective. Among the enhancements
was the establishment of an Ombudsman program, designed to provide an owner
with a less formal channel of communication with the Board of Directors, for
those who have difficulty communicating. The Ombudsman’s role is to listen
to the owner’s concerns and communicate those to the Board, as well as to
explain the purpose and application of the covenants and the Board’s
response to the owner. The Ombudsman is not an arbitrator, but a helpful
intermediary – a role that is designed to achieve results informally and
expeditiously.
